In 2010, Local First was selected by the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) as one of four regional hub networks nationwide charged with coordinating the development of similar networks. Today, Local First consults with interested community, business, and government leaders throughout the Midwest, advising on best practices and assisting with implementation.
