Local First Hires Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Local First has hired Elissa Sangalli as its Executive Director.

Sangalli will manage the day-to-day operations of the membership organization and its non-profit educational foundation. She was formerly an Admissions Representative at Aquinas College.

 “I’m delighted to take on this challenging role.  I look forward to supporting local business, expanding Local First’s membership and continuing to develop the organization’s community presence,” said Sangalli.

Through business and consumer education, Local First is working to educate the people about the impact of local spending and the importance of a local living economy.  Local First members are comprised of businesses and non-profits that are locally owned, privately held and headquartered in West Michigan.
