New Direction for Local First Staff

Dear Local First Members & Friends:

It has been two years since we launched Local First out of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies.  Since then, we have grown from 75 members to over 200!

During this time, our Executive Director, Ellie Frey, has worked to make this organization a success through her ability to engage our membership through the many events that make us a dynamic group.  We are grateful for her service.

Ellie has decided to pursue graduate school and will be leaving Local First on December 1, 2006. She is committed to the success of Local First and will assist in finding a new executive director.  Kari Bliss will act as interim director to assist Ellie and Local First during this transition.

We wish Ellie great success in her future endeavors!
