In 2008, Mars-Bros Mentoring Program celebrates a 10 year commitment to youth in urban Grand Rapids. Mars-Bros builds Christ-centered relationships with youth ages 8-17 who primarily reside in the Grand Rapids south east neighborhoods. Each year, 100 youth enter our program through "Asset Groups" including: Chess Club, Incentive Accounts, and Read-It book club. This year, our hope is to match 20 youth with a mentor. This mentor will assist thme in accomplishing goals in the areas of spiritual, social, and academic development.
